I usually get most of my books from the library, but a 20% off coupon lured me into the bookstore this weekend. I started one of them - Music for Chameleons by Truman Capote - but the others are sitting there, ready and waiting. It is a wonderful feeling to have several books stacked up, covers unbent - the ultimate security blanket.
In addition to the Capote they are: About Grace by Anthony Doerr - I loved The Shell Collector
Snowstorms in a Hot Climate by Sarah Dunant - I loved the Birth of Venus
Truth & Beauty by Ann Patchett - I loved Bel Canto
It would be great if anyone reading this would comment with their own favorites.
