What's up around here

Angus gave us a scare this week when he started limping and acting crabby. A trip to the vet identified a cut on his paw that was beginning to get infected. Because of his being immune-suppressed infection is a real worry, so now he is on antibiotics. He's more active and happy now, but he continues to lose his hair (again) and we just try to enjoy him in the present and not think about the future. I have been having so much fun with my Rio Carbon mp3 player! Last weekend I put a couple hundred songs on it...but the main thing I love it for is audio books. Right now I'm listening to Bee Season by Myla Goldberg, and loving it. But what I think is really cool is to listen to a book while I'm cleaning the bird cages, vacuuming, cleaning house, and knitting. It really makes the household chores almost pleasant. I'm working on completing a baby blanket right now, and have put some of my recent knitting here.
