I finished Music for Chameleons last night. I loved it. Capote's writing is fluid and relaxed - the mark of a real master. Capote is obviously a very social person - he loves people, loves talking to people, appreciates all different kinds of people and seems easygoing in any social situation. I envy him that. I realized while reading the book that I often find people tiresome...I get agitated by their quirks and impatient with most conversation.
I guess I shouldn't be embarrassed by this admission - the world seems to be divided between people who need constant social interaction and those that don't. I just need to be more relaxed and comfortable with the way I am instead of comparing myself to others.
