Mexico is Everywhere

I looked at the Seattle Times this morning, and here was an article about a shop in Condesa that Martha and I had visited. In the same paper there was also an article about crops rotting because there are not enough people to pick them this year. Most of the pickers they employ are from Mexico. The first issue of Inside Mexico, a magazine about/for expats living in Mexico is available here (3 mb .pdf) (There is a map of Condesa on pg 26) Every day there are articles about talented artists, writers, restaurants and new retail. Could it be a sign that we should be there? I think so! Mexican Days by Tony Cohan (book #65) is the second book I've read of his, - the first being On Mexican Time. This book is mostly about his travels - starting in San Miguel de Allende and visiting Guanajuato, Oaxaca, Mexico City, Jalapa, the Yucatan and other smaller towns along the way. He knows people everywhere and frequently seems to know someone who can introduce him to the town.
