Does this question have an answer?

The question is: Why are there so many cool small cars in Mexico that aren't available in the US? Is it because everyone here still loves SUV's or because of our emission controls? Or maybe there are import duties that would raise the cost too much? I would like to know...because I would love to see all these cars running around the USA.

The Seat Leon Cupra - is a small car made in Spain. Isn't it cute? And with 240 hp and 32.8 mpg! The Seat Ibiza is just as cute. - a more economical car, it has from 64 to 180 hp and gets from 28 to 26 mpg depending on the model. The Ford Ka is available in many countries, the UK and Mexico among them. It is a hilarious little car that gets from 34 to 57 mpg WITH air conditioning. The Renault Megane is my favorite car of all. Every time I saw one I just had to take a minute to look at it. 225 hp and from 25 to 47 mpg! The Renault Clio is all over Mexico, and is a smaller car than the Megane so I assume it gets better gas mileage, too. (but I couldn't find the info on the website.) The VW Lupo is a 99 hp, 3 passenger car that gets from 28 to 41 mpg. There are lots of VW models in Mexico that we don't see here. The Smart car is a new car developed by Mercedes Benz and Swatch. It is a two passenger car that gets around 60 mpg. The picture below is the Smart car that Adam and Martha own.
