The surprise today was a wonderful outdoor lunch with Adam and Martha in Bremerton. Adam came up unexpectedly, and the chance for a nice visit and an excellent meal outdoors on the water was an unexpected treat. I'm not going to recount all the details of our conversation, just that it was great and that it does this mother's heart good...to see her kids doing so well, and happy, and all of that.
