It was an excellent weekend at the Black Dog Farm. The weather was pleasant, sunny-ish, and almost spring like. The daffodils and crocuses are up and the Daphne odora smells wonderful. The bird room even got over 70 degrees on Saturday as the sun streamed in. Makes me feel hopeful and alive.
I finished an amazing book yesterday - Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. (book #20) This book follows several characters through many surreal incidents and provides a number of lessons on the importance of interpersonal relationships, finding your true self, and following your own path.
I'm not a book critic, and don't like to be told too much about a book before I dive in, so I won't say more and spoil it for you. I am excited about reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles, another Murakami, that Paul has already started...and he says it might even be better that Kafka on the Shore.
