I just finished The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler. (book #53) There had been a lot of buzz about it when it first came out, so it had been on my "want to read" list for a while. The book goes back and forth between book club meetings, social events of the club members, and their reminiscences. Marital splits, death, romance, enduring love are all wound together with a discussion of various Austen novels.
It's not a challenging read or particularly insightful - but the characters are well done and do in fact remind you of Austen characters themselves - which is of course a delightful but expected choice. I liked it.
