The Pause That Refreshes

I realize I haven't been a very diligent blogger lately...the reason - at least partly - is the emotional turmoil of having Adam and Martha really gone for good now. Yes, I know they will be back now and then, and I know we'll go visit them, but we all know that this chapter is over and a new one is beginning. I just hope that the new chapter is as wonderful as the last. Having them living only an hour away was a real treat - and I believe we all enjoyed sharing our passions for our country properties, dogs, technology, art, Mexico, and of course food and wine. Here's a toast to both of you and your new adventure!

Over the last few weeks I have been reading (listening to) the audio book of Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy (#35.) I really loved the audio book (all 30 cd's of it) because just the fact that it was read aloud meant that I could really absorb the book in the way it deserves. And what a wonderful book. It was my first venture into Tolstoy, and I know I am going to read more. That's not much of a review, but it's all I have in me right now.
