Phil, Erica, and Owen came to the Black Dog Farm for a visit this weekend. Although it rained the entire time, we had a wonderful time. Our usual visits are less than 24 hours so this was a real treat.
Owen is a delight - he is funny and articulate, good in math (at 6 years old he can multiply in his head) and very into baseball and cars. He played Xbox a few times, and even beat Paul once! He loves Lucy and Angus, as you can see in the picture above.
Erica is also a delightful person - interesting and thoughtful, smart and kind. She brought her knitting and we got many opportunities to share knitting tales. Her mom is knitting now, which has really helped her knitting progress, I think. I went out to get the paper one morning before I thought they were awake, and when I came back she was in the living room knitting! She gets her braces in a couple of weeks and in the above picture was on the web looking at the new
Fly pen.
