Bee Season

We had a bunch of peonies outside on the table on our deck for about the past week. Last weekend I noticed one bee visit the flowers over and over again. It was determined to gather every last bit of pollen. Over and over it came, the sacs on its legs bursting with bright orange-yellow pollen. Sometimes it could barely fly. It seemed to like the flowers even more as they started to fade, and was in a bee frenzy as it burrowed into the flowers, again and again.
