Life Lessons
Angus has been having chemotherapy now for about 6 weeks. The drug changes every week, and some drugs affect him more than others. His last three weeks have been mostly good, and I am grateful for that. It is hard to watch him when he is not feeling well - he just lies on the floor with his eyes closed or mostly unfocused. The thing I have learned from him is that what IS, just IS. He doesn't whine about things, or cry, or lament "why me?" The only real change I have noticed is that he lets you know when he wants a snuggle. And that is something we should always feel free to express.
Paul is having a procedure later this week that will require him to stay overnight in the hospital. Hopefully the procedure will improve his quality of life, and I congratulate him for taking the initiative to make it happen, rather than settling for the status quo.
